Exchange Student at Jönköping International Business School

Before Arrival

By now, you should have already applied for student housing through our Accommodation Office. Make sure you announce your arrival to Accommodation Office between 1 – 15 December to confirm your application. Note: if you do not announce your arrival, you will lose your guaranteed accommodation!

 

Keep in mind that it can be hard to find private accommodation in Jönköping, so we strongly recommend you to follow through with the student housing application. Before arriving in Sweden, it is important to ensure that you have adequate insurance. Read more.

Registration for students from Jönköping International Business School is only possible from Monday 2 January. You will receive an email with instructions on how to register for your courses and finalise your JU user account when the registration is open.


The login process consists of the following steps:

Step 1: Visit www.ju.se/registration


Step 2: To retrieve the one-time password, fill in in the username.

Username - the one used for the online application system Mobility Online and the housing application

 

You need a JU card to access premises on campus, borrow books from the University Library, access printers, get student discounts, etc. You should order your JU card when activating your account. You can either upload a picture online or take one at one of the photo booths around campus. More info can be found at ju.se/ju-card

JU Mobile allows you to access your schedule through the app as well as book rooms, register for exams, see your study results, view the news, etc. You can download it on the App Store, or Google Play.

The Student Web is your resource for finding schedules, academic calendar, course syllabuses, etc.

As a student you need a Paypal account to pay for printouts/copies. After setting up an account, students receive an account credit of 50 SEK. Read more here.

At JU, it is compulsory for all students to become members of Jönköping Student Union. The Student Union is a great resource for students – they influence the quality of education, arrange activities and trips, carry out various projects, and much more. The student union fee is included in the tuition for tuition-fee paying students, however, all other students are required to pay the membership fee separately. (This session is only for students who have received documents from their home university that they need to have signed. If you have not received any documents, you do not need to attend).


Please make sure to fill in the information requested on the documents before you submit them to be signed!


You can submit your Learning Agreement to be signed via our case management system, http://exchange.ju.se, please choose case type: incoming exchange or via the DLA platform of your home university.

It is compulsory to attend the Introduction Week, however if for some reason you are unable to arrive in time, please contact the International Office (choose "Incoming Exchange" as the case type). Also remember to contact the Accommodation Office about your late arrival: accommodation@ju.se.

Accommodation Office

The Accommodation Office can be reached through accommodation@ju.se. All questions regarding pick-up service and accommodation must be sent directly to the Accommodation Office.
