  • SciVal – a new tool for research evaluation

    Jönköping University now has access to SciVal from Elsevier, an analytics tool based on bibliometric data from Scopus. The tool enables evaluation and visualization of research performance and mapping of research impact at the institutional, departmental, and individual researcher levels. It also allows comparisons with other institutions and helps identify potential collaboration partners. JU has access to the following modules:
    • Overview
    • Benchmarking
    • Collaboration
    • Trends
    • Impact
    To access SciVal: follow the link in the library’s database list.A personal Elsevier account is required, and anyone who does not already have an account (from Scopus, for example) needs to register.Contact Stefan Carlstein for information on how to use SciVal.You can also read more here: Get started with SciVal
  • Digital ID at the library

    You can now identify yourself with the Digital ID card from BankID at the library. The library has updated its loan regulations to include the Digital ID card from BankID as an accepted form of identification.The forms of ID that can now be used are:
    • National passport
    • Foreign passport—laminated and with text in English, French, or Spanish
    • Swedish national ID card
    • Swedish driver’s license
    • Swedish SIS-marked ID card
    • Identity card for individuals registered in Sweden
    • National ID card issued in an EU/EEA country where citizenship is indicated
    • Digital ID card from BankID
    ID via Freja is currently not accepted, as it does not meet the security requirements set by SWAMID, which the university is connected to.
