EULiST Matchmaking Event at Jönköping University
On December 3-4, Jönköping University will host a focused matchmaking event in collaboration with Crowdhelix, dedicated to the upcoming 2026–2027 Horizon Europe Work Programs.
This two half-day, onsite event is designed to foster strategic connections between stakeholders from different sectors - including academia, industry, SMEs, and the public sector -who have a specific interest in selected thematic areas aligned with EULiST’s mission of linking society and technology.

With Crowdhelix’s extensive experience in organizing Horizon Europe matchmaking events and access to a broad innovation network, the event will offer targeted opportunities for collaboration, expert-led sessions, and enhanced visibility across the European research and innovation landscape.

Title: Business model innovation in the automotive industry: empirical evidence from an Italian dealership

Automotive dealers are at a crossroads. Once stable cornerstones of the Western economy, they are now navigating major disruptions driven by technological, regulatory, and market shifts. The seminar will discuss the forces reshaping their business models and how these pressures push dealers to rethink how they will continue to create and capture value. Based on the study of Italian dealerships, the research outlines several key challenges threatening the traditional model and maps out possible paths for business model innovation.

About the speaker:
Andrea Sabatini, Ph.D., is a Researcher at the Department of Management (Faculty of Economics) at the Polytechnic University of Marche. His research focuses on B2B marketing relationships, technological innovation, and business models of SMEs.

Constructing Prosocial Motivation: A Process Model of Identity Work in Social Entrepreneurship

How do social entrepreneurs sustain their drive to “do good” amid adversity and shifting missions? In this seminar, Zanele presents a process model of how prosocial motivation evolves as part of entrepreneurs’ identity work. Drawing on rich qualitative cases, she shows how moral purpose is not a fixed trait but a dynamic, narratively constructed practice — continually built, reaffirmed, and adapted over time. The study sheds new light on the emotional and reflexive processes that help social entrepreneurs maintain ethical commitment and resilience in complex contexts.

Welcome to a seminar where Elke Loeffler* shares her experiences of how co-production can strengthen quality, participation, and innovation in welfare systems. The starting point is the book Co-Production of Public Services and Outcomes, in which Elke uses international case studies and evidence-based research to show how users, employees, and society can work together to develop better healthcare and welfare services.

The seminar is aimed at researchers and professionals who want to deepen their understanding of how co-production can be translated into practice, leadership, and research.

*Elke Loeffler is Director of the Institute of Local Government Studies at the University of Birmingham in the UK and has expertise in the co-production of public services, particularly in health and social care. She combines research and practical experience from international case studies and service development with users and citizens. The seminar is based on her insights into how co-production improves quality and outcomes in healthcare and how it can be translated into both practice and research.

“Mother Nature: What Motivates Nature Conservation?”
on Friday, 12th of December at 1:15 pm in B4043.

Short information about the lecture:
Biodiversity is declining rapidly, and society needs effective tools to motivate individuals and landowners to take costly actions for nature. This lecture explores how economic incentives, social norms, and institutional design shape conservation behavior. It also examines what happens when women participate in forest management decisions.
