Research

Focus of my research is to explore synergies between semantic technologies and text mining techniques. My current research interests include,

  • Text Mining: Ontological NLP, Text Learning
  • Semantic Technologies: Semantic Data Integration, Semantic Modeling, Ontology Learning & Population, Ontology Alignment
  • Life Sciences: Literature Mining, and applications to diseases Informatics

Biography

From 2003 to 2007 He Tan did PhD studies at Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA), Linköping University. In September 2007, She received her PhD from LiTH (the Institute of Technology), at Linköping University. From 2007 to 2011 Tan started work as Postdoctoral fellow at IDA, at Linköping University.

During 2010 She worked as a vising researcher at the Tsujii Laboratory, Department of Computer Science, University of Tokyo, Japan. Since January 2012 she is working as Assistant Professor in Information Engineering at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University.
