    Howard E. Aldrich is Kenan Professor of Sociology and Adjunct Professor of Business at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is a fellow of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, and an Affiliate in the Strategy Department, Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. His main research interests are entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial team formation, gender and entrepreneurship, and evolutionary theory. Among his over 200 publications are 9 books (including co-authored & edited volumes), one of which -- Organizations Evolving – – won two national awards: the George R Terry Award from the Academy of Management and the Max Weber Award of the American Sociological Association. A third edition was published in 2020, with co-authors Martin Ruef and Stephen Lippmann. In 2000, he won the Global Entrepreneurship Researcher of the Year Award from the Swedish Foundation of Small Business Research. In 2013, he received the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference Lifetime Membership Award. He has Honorary Doctoral Degrees from Mid-Sweden University and Bowling Green State University.

    Susanne Boch Waldorff is associate professor and study director of Master of Public Governance at Copenhagen Business School. In her research Susanne explores how ideas in the shape of contemporary reforms, policies, and steering technologies are implemented or translated into organizational practices. Empirically she investigates the health care, police and social sectors, and her projects evolve around public sector governance, organizational change, discursive strategies, innovation, professions, and public value creation. Besides book chapters and co-edited books, Susanne’s work has been published in international journals including Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies, Public Management Review, and Research in the Sociology of Organizations.

    Lejf Moos is a associate professor emiritus at Aarhus University, Denmark, Danish School of Education. He has for years done research and publicised in Danmark, Nordic Countries and internationally on education and school development, education and school leadership and on municipal superintendents. Broadening all this for the past years to research into eduational governance and thus into relations to transnational agencies and other countries ways of doing and thinking education. He is at oresent editing together with Sephen carney the Springer book series on Education Governance Research.

    Michael Uljens is chair professor of General Education and Educational Leadership at Åbo Akademi University in Vasa, Finland (2003-). Michael leads an international research program Non-Affirmative Education (https://blogs2.abo.fi/nat-book/). His research mediate between Nordic, German and Anglo-American approaches to educational leadership, curriculum studies, Didaktik and General Education (Allgemeine Pädagogik).

    Given that much leadership to its core is pedagogical, he argues for grounding educational leadership in education theory, yet supported by cross-disciplinary research. His most recent volume (in press, Springer) dives into the Bildung centered non-affirmative education theory. Empirically Michael works with research supported school development.
