New CHILD-doctoral student

Christina Peterson is a new CHILD-doctoral student. Her research project will investigate how to use national quality registries for children and youth with chronic diseases in quality improvement.

Christina Petersons research project will investigate how to use national quality registries for children and youth with chronic diseases in quality improvement. The first study have compared different HRQOL (health- related quality of life) measures in relation to ICF-CY (international classification of functioning, disability and health for children and youth). HRQOL measures can be used as a patient reported outcome measure (PROM). There is important to measure additional dimensions to enable a complete picture of children´s health and welfare. Therefore patient reported experience measures (PREM) also has to be developed. The method of this research will be quantitative as well as qualitative. The research is funded by the county council of Jönköping.
Christina is a registered nurse with specialist education in children and youth. The last five years she has worked at the children´s department at county hospital Ryhov, Jönköping. Christina is also working with PROM issues concerning children and youth within the national network for PROM in Sweden.
