Awarding with cooperation
In her appointment at HLK, Anna-Lena will be doing both research and teaching. Her research has mainly been about the digitization of teaching.
“Right now, I am running a research project on digital competence in practice where I have interviewed and done observations both in preschool, primary school and upper secondary school. Some aspects that have been brought to my attention I would like to proceed with. Right now, I am writing applications based on what I find most interesting and hope to get funds for more research projects,” she says.
Anna-Lena finds it rewarding to collaborate with practising teachers, including preschool teachers. She hopes to gradually build up a network of contacts in Jönköping and the surrounding area. She already has some contacts that will be included in an application for funds to the Institute for Educational Research.

Professor’s Introduction
Her first weeks at JU and HLK have felt good for Anna-Lena.
“I have been treated very nicely, but it is still a big adjustment to start at a completely new university! I try every day that I'm here to attach some names to some faces and try to remember them, but it's not easy,” she says.
