Research
My current research is primarily within Mathematics and Science Education Research. But I also still find interest in physics, particularly solid-state physics and phenomena in magnetic materials
I am active in the Mathematics Education Research group (MER-gruppen) at JU.
Within mathematics education research, I primarily work with issues in the intersection between arithmetic and algebra. I am particularly curious about in what ways students evaluate numerical expressions and how they describe and perceive the processes the use. I also have a great interest in Variation theory of learning – an area where the MER-group is particularly prominent.
