Cecilia Bjursell appointed Acting Dean/MD at the School of Education and Communication

Cecilia Bjursell will be Acting Dean/MD at the School of Education and Communication from 16 March and during the time the recruitment of new Dean is ongoing.

Cecilia Bjursell will be Acting Dean/MD at the School of Education and Communication from 16 March and while the recruitment process for the new Dean continues.

"I am very pleased that we can appoint a person within the organization to the assignment as Acting Dean. Cecilia has extensive experience and knowledge about our university, which feels important in the period we are in with continued work with quality assurance and UKÄ's forthcoming evaluations. I am convinced that Cecilia, with her background in education, research and collaboration, will be able to contribute in a postive way to the School of Education and Communication as well as to JU", says President Agneta Marell.

Cecilia Bjursell is associate professor in business administration and is the center leader of Encell (National Center for Lifelong Learning), a role to which she will continue as part-time while she is Acting Dean.

"I am happy and proud for the trust I’ve been given from the JU management. At the School of Education and Communication we have an excellent work climate, competent colleagues and top researchers in various fields, so I humbly accept this exciting assignment", says Cecilia Bjursell.

The recruitment process for the Dean at the School of Education and Communication continues according to plan with the goal of having a new Dean in place this fall.
