UNESCO-meeting at Jönköping University

The International Coordinating Council of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme meets at Jönköping University 10-13 June.

Launched in 1971, UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme (MAB) is an Intergovernmental Scientific Programme that aims to establish a scientific basis for the improvement of relationships between people and their environments.It proposes interdisciplinary research, demonstration and training in natural resources management.

In connection with the meeting the association "East Vättern Scarp
Landscape biosphere reserve" arranges the Biosphere Week with several activities going on at the School of Education and Communication and on JU campus.
