    Jönköping has a thriving esports scene and research from Jönköping University has shown that, here in the city of Dreamhack, it’s the local esports activists that have played a big part in making this so. Dr. Brian McCauley, an esports researcher at Jönköping International Business School, has studied esports at the grassroots level and can see that the local actors are serious players in this growing industry.
  • Scholarship for research on respiratory training in radiation treatment of breast cancer


    Maria Brovall, Associate Professor in nursing science at the School of Health and Welfare, Jönköping University, is awarded a research scholarship of SEK 400,000 from the Knut and Ragnvi Jacobsson Family Foundation. The money will be used to develop the research project; "Digital tool for breathing training at home before postoperative radiotherapy of left-sided breast cancer".
  • JU researcher lecture during Kamprad Family Foundation's 10th anniversary


    On November 8-9, the Kamprad Family Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Research and Charity hosted an educational conference in Växjö, to celebrate 10 years of the foundation. One of eight invited researchers and lecturers to the conference was Sofi Fristedt, from the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University.

    Last week, media management scholars, media industry practitioners and policymakers from around the world gathered both online and in person at Jönköping International Business School, Jönköping University, to discuss sustainability and media industries at this year’s emma conference.“Sustainability is beginning to take centre stage in our conversations. Scholars are saying that we really need to take this seriously and do more research about it,” says conference organiser Joaquin Cestino.
  • New simulation methods make product development smarter


    Within industrial product development, the trend is that more and more companies are using computer simulation in addition to physical testing to develop products with the desired quality and performance. In his doctoral thesis, Johan Jansson at the School of Engineering (JTH), Jönköping University, has developed new methods for simulation, in which the manufacturing process is taken into account.
